Legend has it that the ghost of the teenaged Katherine Howard (Wife #5) is out and about in the Haunted Gallery of Hampton Court Palace. Many visitors (including me) have experienced eerie feelings and sudden temperature drops in that area of the palace. People in nearby living quarters have reported hearing screams coming from the gallery. And guards from the Tudor period to the present time have reported seeing her ghost race down the hallway in a white gown.
