the TUDOR TUTOR

Your cheeky guide to the dynasty

Popping Out to Say Hello…

Sorry to be away from the blog so much! Lots of things going on at the moment. I’ve been able to hit up FacebookTwitter, and Pinterest, but not as much here.

I wanted to touch base with everyone and mention that my book (which I’d planned to publish this spring) should be coming out in 2013.

Also, speaking of books, Simon & Schuster was kind enough to send me a copy of Winter King: Henry VII and the Dawn of Tudor England to read/review, so I am excitedly digging into that now. Don’t get me wrong, I do love our Massive Monarch and all his wives, and our Virgin Queen, but it is refreshing to have a long read about the granddaddy of the dynasty.

As I am in this whirlwind it may take me a while to finish it, but when I do I shall post a review for you!

I see that 12 who bought the book and/or read it. Does this mean S & S sent this to you for a more favorable review since 11 of the 12 on there are very positive, or did they send you an advance copy? Or is this a free lance review? I don’t understand. I’m looking forward to reading your review. I read out of the main period a lot (the European History majors in me) out of interests, but to gain insight into the period, the times, the parents, childrenn, and anything else (even down to the clothes [remember there was no cotton back then]), etc. So I’d love to read your review! Thank you! WilesWales

I will be very interested to see your review. I saw the book at Half-Price Books last Friday and couldn’t decide whether to get it.
